Even if highly diverse, my practice could be narrowed down to social art & design, expressed through materials such as installations, sculptures, jewelry, and paintings/illustrations, by learning how to use any necessary material such as bronze, ceramics, electroforming techniques, copper, dichroic film, etc. to achieve my ideas and visualizations.

About me

I am a Mexican Netherlands-based artist and designer constantly developing projects that positively impact society, the environment, and individual narratives. Inspired by Mexican culture, my designs usually have intense colors and meanings that evoke deep and meaningful emotions.

I aim to materialize essential social and inner well-being concepts through an aesthetic exploration. I am projecting my inner world and values onto what I create. I combine art inspiration with research and analysis of social contexts to create projects with a unique visual identity. I make a clear and safe space to connect and communicate with people to create the best project experience, pleasing designs, and meaningful narratives that reflect the essence and uniqueness of each project.

Multidisciplinary skills

I have worked multiple times with bronze, creating sculptures through the lost wax and open sand casting methods. I am also knowledgeable at formulating and applying hot and cold patinas and familiar with the chemical process required for the best outcomes.

I have extensive experience working with color, how it complements its surroundings, other materials, language, and impact on people. I pride myself on having a keen sense of color and the ability to apply this knowledge to use it in the most adequate way to enhance a project's visual identity.

I have taught myself the skills necessary for neat electroforming copper techniques, from making my electrolyte solutions to conductive coating and amperage regulation. This method can also be used with gold and silver, making it highly versatile and valuable for jewelry and luxury design items.

I am adept at navigating the process of concept development with flexibility and insight, carefully listening to and analyzing the specific needs of each project or client. By thoroughly understanding their vision and goals, I excel at transforming abstract ideas into concrete, tangible results that effectively capture and communicate the concept's essence.

I am familiar with the process of working with ceramics, from mold making, casting, wheel throwing, and hand forming to the technicalities of the different types of clay and how to best use them for the desired outcomes. I have basic knowledge about glazes but a in the process of learning and specializing more.

This has been my most constant practice throughout my life. I have 20 years of experience working with watercolors while also finishing multiple muralism projects, oil painting on various surfaces and mediums such as gouache, printmaking, mixed-media illustration, etc., and I pride myself on my pictographic expression.
